Build Your Morning Routine| Morning Skin Care

Hey guys, Since I am getting married in a short month ( ah!!) I have started learning more and more about skin care and how to treat my skin better. Well, we all know by now that I am in love with skin care and I love to talk about it. I want to share these tips with you. And if I get to help you get amazing healthy looking skin with me, so let’s talk about it.

Before I can tell you all the secrets we have to do some learning first. Do you know what your skin barrier is and what it does?? Well the skin barrier is your outer layer that is like a brick wall that helps keep water inside. It keeps your skin firm and healthy. When it becomes weak the big bad wolf aka bacteria comes blows your house down you start to see flaky skin and acne. No one wants that so we are going to talk about how you can use 4 easy steps to help you build a strong foundation so no bad guys can come in.

  1. Cleanser
  2. Toner
  3. Moisturizer
  4. Sunscreen

You are thinking these are too simple but are you using the right products for your skin type and in the right order?

Cleanser

Cleanser is the first step to remove dirt and oil. For the morning I have been using Bioderma. This a holy grail product. It’s so gentle and works for any skin type. We are all looking for ways to save time in the morning and this product gives me extra time. I have oily skin and for me it calms the oil that I usually get mid day. I have some stashed in my gym bag so I can refresh and cleanse my face after a workout. It also has cucumber fruit extract packed into it. If you didn’t know cucumber fruit extract is an anti inflammatory and helps condition your skin, It’s so nourishing. I am also using a cleanser by La Roche – Posay. It’s a medicated gel cleanser the helps target oil and breakouts. Since i have oily skin this is a great this a great product. I recently seen this at Target and Walgreens and it made me so happy. Sometimes you don’t have time or a nearby Ulta to get all your skincare.

Toner

Hello Hydration! I know your thinking we are skipping a step and moving to moisturizer but toners hydrates your skin too. Toners are made to increase the water contact. Water is usually the first ingredient in toners. So it gives you that extra hydration to your skin. You can use a spray toner or apply it on a cotton pad and pat it into your skin gently. Right now I am LOVING the Indie Lee CoQ-10 toner its for all skin types and it is in a spray. It has Hyaluronic acid, Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Sage, Papaya and Cucumber so you get a fresh post cleanse step and the protecting calm feeling. Have you tried this? Because i can’t get enough of it.

Moisturizer

Moisturizer are made to hydrate the skin and HELP retain moisture in the skin. Anti aging, controlling oily and hydrating dry skin and protect from harmful environment. I have picked a couple of different moisturizers that might work for your skin.

Cerave Am is a great drugstore product. The only thing is that it has a sunscreen in it and it takes major gentle blending power. Its lightweight and has the 3 ceramides that all the Cerave products have.

If you are just wanting a moisture that you can use anytime without the sunscreen and works great. Then the Cerave Moisturizing lotion is for you. It is lightweight and of course has the 3 ceramides, it is so gentle and fragrance free. The hyaluronic acid is there to HELP retain the skin’s natural moisture. Now I know your wondering why I keep saying help but I want you to remember that its not just the moisturizer that moisturizes your skin it the help of both toner and moisturizer.

Another great one is Differin Moisturizer with sunscreen. Now this one doesn’t have that white greasy film that you are thinking of when sunscreen is involved. It is lightweight and helps control oil and it has a matte finished. Basically the only thing this baby doesn’t do is buy you coffee. hahaha But really it works so well. I have been using it and it looks so good under makeup and keeps my oily skin looking great all day.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! I can’t say this enough. Sunscreen is the superhero of your skin care. It fights off UVA and UVB rays. It also protects the signs of early aging and skin damage. Hello sunscreen. You might be someone that likes tan skin or you think oh that isn’t something I need in my skin care routine. But your wrong you might not see the signs of the harm on your skin now or tomorrow but you will. Your only going to get one skin and you have to treat it right.

I don’t have a drugstore sunscreen that doesn’t get that greasy feel or just doesn’t work under makeup that I love. But I got one recently from amazon that I have always wanted to try and I think I am in love. Anessa. Guys! This is a milk formula that is so lightweight and is soft. When I reapply it doesn’t get weird under or on top of my makeup. You can’t tell I even have it on and the bottle is so little and cute.

I hope you like this post. Skin care has been making me so happy lately and I don’t know why. But I love sharing something im loving at the moment with you.
