I have asked a few ladies what is your night time skin care? What do you mean is most of the answer I get. The other question I have asked was what do you use to take off your makeup at night? Umm, A bar soap when I am in the shower. Ahhh! What!! I thought I would share my night time routine to give you a few ideas, so let’s talk about it.
As always this post was not sponsored. I was not paid to create this post. I’m bringing you my honest and own opinions.
While you’re getting your beauty sleep your skin is repairing its self from the daytime damage. So it is important to do just a few things to help your skin along. I wanted to share some of the things that are in my night time routine. If you have some items you want me to try, leave a comment down below.
I keep all my nightly skincare in its own makeup bag so it’s easier to grab everything.

Step 1 Removing makeup:

I am currently using Garnier Micellar cleansing water. On my work days I don’t wear a full face of makeup (powder, mascara, eyeliner, blush, bronzer) and then I move on to washing my face. You could say this is a two-step process but I tend to do it all at once. If you have been following me for a while then you know my holy grail face wash is The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing face wash. I absolutely love this product. It’s an oil-free and it works to remove all the makeup and excess oil leaving your skin feeling refreshed.
Step 2 Toner:

Sea breeze this is way old school but it makes my skin gorgeous. Toner removes any leftover makeup or stubborn dirt. Toner also preps the skin for moisturizer and serums.
Step 3 Serum and moisturizer:

I switch moisturizer based on what my skin is needing. Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Moisturizer when my forehead is really needing to tighten up. I apply one pump to my forehead and sides of my face to my jawline.

Olay Regenerist Whip I love this one! This is a cream to liquid formula so it really sinks into the skin. My face feels so hydrated when I use this. When applying moisturizer you always want to apply it in an upward motion. Starting from the middle of the face and going out and up. never pulling down on your skin. And make sure you moisturize the neck. You don’t want to forget your neck because the skin on your neck is thinner and more prone to wrinkles.
Don’t forget the eye cream. The skin under eyes is so so thin. Use your ring finger or very gentle in a tapping motive apply a cream. Right now I am using Aveeno Ageless.

Step 4 Skin Massage:

I apply a small amount of the oil and use my jade roller to work the product into my skin. I love Bio Oil and I use it for so many other things. I shared how I use my jade roller on my post of Pick of the Bunch December.
Lots of people overlook this product because it is used by a lot of pregnant women for their baby belly. But if you are looking for one thing out of this post to add to your night routine I would choose this. I have even gotten my fiancé to use this on his face after the shower to add moisture back into his skin.
Weekly Love:
There are also other items I use weekly to boost up my skin and give it some extra love.
Exfoliating
Befine Food Skin Care this is made with brown sugar and sweet almonds and oats There is also a lot of make your own exfoliator out there that work great too!
Face Mask
There are tons of great face mask out there. I like to do a sheet mask on Saturday morning while I have my coffee. I am usually grabbing a Yes to sheet mask. Here are a few that is in my skincare drawer now.

Also, a mud mask is a great choice. I like the ones in the bottle rather in a foil packet. Some reason the foil packet seems not to have as much moisture to apply to your face. I don’t get a peel-off mask because when your peeling the mask off it pulls your face and you should never pull on your face. Your skin only has so much elastic. So if your pulling on it over and over then it won’t be as firm.
