12 Days Of Creators DAY 7

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year!!

Day seven is here!!

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year. For 12 days I will introduce you to 12 amazing creators that are doing BIG things and creating. Showcasing others and building a supportive community is so close to my heart. I love supporting others and that was the inspiration behind this series.

When I first came across this creator I was blown away with all the forms of art he was creating. He wasn’t just working towards on goal he was creating a new path for many to come. I’m honor to have him be a part of the fun here during 12 days of Creators. Inspiring others, simple as that.

My main goal in life is to create stories that he wished existed when he was a child.

What did you learn when writing this book?

I learned a lot about my ancestry which was great. I learned where my ancestors came from and when. I even found photos which was a neat surprise, never knew what my great grandfather even looked like before this journey.

What do you hope children and or others learn from your book?

I want kids to learn empathy, for those coming into any country but especially the U.S.

Are there hobbies or interests that helped you develop your content?ย I would say watching films helps me and cycling. When cycling I can really shut my brain down and focus on what to make next.

What motivates you to create?ย

I would say I just have this innate want to express myself. I’m also bad a expressing myself verbally or any other way outside of writing and images.

Whatโ€™s important advice would you give a first time author?

Never give up, I think that’s what I would tell people. There were many times I wanted to give up when looking for an agent or publisher.

What are some creative challenges you face?ย The biggest issue I’ve always had was finding people who can dream with you. Once you develop confidence in yourself it shows in your work. When that happens it’s easier to pitch concepts to publishers or studios.

Do you have a network of other creator’s, and how do they support you? I do, I have several friends I met along the way. We all do similar things but not too similar. When we need help getting a project out we always reach out to eachother.

THANK YOU Edward! Thank you for sharing your time with us today and sharing your story with the world and many more things to come. Make sure to follow all Edwards social media and check out The Boy from Mexico.

Tomorrow we will meet another creator that will bring music to your ears. I will see you tomorrow for day eight!
