Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year. For 12 days I will introduce you to 12 amazing creators that are doing BIG things and creating. Showcasing others and building a supportive community is so close to my heart. I love supporting others and that was the inspiration behind this series.
For day three of the countdown we are meeting a gamer that inspires his community.
Hey I’m Benn of Earth! I’m a twitch streamer, game player and to some a superhero.
Tell us about how you support your community and other gamers?
I play a ton of games, The main games I’ve concentrated on at the moment are Destiny 2, Marvel SNAP, and DC Dual Force. When it comes to Destiny 2, we would offer a lot of help to the Destiny 2 community by looking for gamers that couldn’t quite accomplish something on their own, and find ways to accomplish their goals. Which creates a huge network of gamers all helping each other out. I’m talking about Dozens of Discord servers and thousands of “Looking For Group” posts, full of gamers network and connect to beat the hardest content the game can offer, or just have a good time. That led to me creating so many things. I need a way to communicate with all my gamers, so I had to learn how to make a Discord server and fully customize it
How did you start creating content for your community?
I wanted to stream live so I needed to create a channel, a brand, a name, a logo… so many things. As I started editing my live channel on OBS Studio, I got curious about photo editing and started posting pictures I made on Instagram. That led to me being curious about video editing so I made a Youtube channel as well. After I made a couple photos and videos for myself, gamers started reaching out to me to create photos and videos for them. Gamers would also reach out for help editing their live channel, creating their own Discord servers with custom channels, Bots, and emoji.
Where are you streaming currently?
So now I basically play games live on Twitch to get some good clips to edit for Youtube and other video platforms and I edit photos to use as the thumbnails
What plans are you creating for future content?
I plan on playing a lot more comic book related content and have been steering towards that. I like to go over my Pull List for the week before I start playing Comic Book video games haha. I’ve been off and on with streaming and editing recently because I got curious again and I’ve been learning a lot about 3D modeling, printing, and painting. Plus I had to learn some Web design! I know that it isn’t “normal” creation but learning all of these hobbies I mentioned takes some creative juices for sure!
