12 Days Of Creators DAY 2

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year!!

I can’t wait to introduce you to the creator for day two!

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year. For 12 days I will introduce you to 12 amazing creators that are doing BIG things and creating. Showcasing others and building a supportive community is so close to my heart. I love supporting others and that was the inspiration behind this series.

Each year I am amazed by all the creators that want to share their time with me. As well seeing them create every day and want to share their love of art with others. I am so happy that I was able to work this this creator. I love his art and always excited to see what he is doing. So let’s meet todays creator.

So thereโ€™s two versions of the Ariel sticker. The first version I did was a classic colored scheme with her red hair and her purple bikini top. To go with this color scheme I went with similar colors for the sugar skull make up and tattoos to add elements from the movie. I had it printed on glossy white sticker material. I wanted this version to be a regular sticker, I take to pop-markets, comic-cons, and have in my online store (coming soon).

The second version of the sticker I wanted to try since a little different with color scheme. So I did a hombre hair style with a purple fading down into this blue-like color. This hair color is similar in a way to a piece I did back in 2015 or 2016 I believe. I really enjoyed it so I decided to add it to the ticket design. With that I changed the colors of the sugar skull makeup to go with the color scheme and changed a few of the tattoos. I wanted this one to be a little bit different, like punk/goth version. I wanted to make this sticker special, so I had it printed on a flat mirror stock, limited of 50 stickers.

So the process of the shoes can be quite tedious at times depending on the type of shoe. There was a learning curve when I first started. But itโ€™s like any other project or painting, there is a lot of prep work involved. One of the first things to do is to mask the areas of the shoe you donโ€™t want to get paint on. Second is to draw the line art on shoe panels. Then from there is to apply the paint with a paintbrush or airbrush or even a toothpick for the line work (to get nice line thin line).

So in 2019 I wanted to gift my goddaughters some unique Christmas presents and I had the idea of doing custom shoes. The first two pairs I did were High top converses shoes. One pairโ€™s theme was space galaxy and the other was Poke-mon. I love seeing the reactions of the customers who order shoes from me.

It is one of the best feelings for me. One of the favorite pair of shoes I have done, so far are these Stitch and Angel high top converse. One of shoe had Stitch with blue lacing other has Angel with pink lacing. To top it all off, I had the stuffed animal of Stitch made into a she bag for them. The reaction on my goddaughter face was priceless. She loved the shoe bag and the shoes.
