1. Autumn
We welcomed the 1st day fall season last weekend and I have been wanting to do this makeup to celebrate.
I started reading a comic last year that I fell in love with. And then Netflix’s and the author made the comic into a show.
Heartstoppers is a heartwarming graphic novel that shares the lives of a few teens trying to navigate life, love and what else life brings. And finally I got my best friend to come into the heartstopper world with me. And she is what’s the word??? Obsessed. And I absolutely love it.
In the book and show when a cute, sweet moment happens a few leaves flutter around. And that got me thinking…. its fall and a few leaves can flutter on me!!
In my mind I could see the leaves going around the characters. So when I planned out how this look was going to come alive. I knew it had to look like it was moving.
I used two palettes for this look just because I needed some fall colors and I used a shimmer. I placed the shimmer shade onto my lids. You can use any shimmer I used a shimmer from the Haunted Mansion palette.
Now the cute little leaves, I placed the color I wanted first. Both shades are from the brights palette 2.0 from Beauty Bay. After I had the color placed I used a black liner to draw the leaves. After I darken each leaf, I added a little dot of white eyeshadow around to give it more of a moving feel.
Having something that your friends and you love makes it feel more special. Gives you a fluttered feeling 🍂
My best friend and I both have a career that we work with children. And having this show/ comic be able to express to teens that it’s sometimes hard living where you want to feel comfortable. And that’s not just for teens, we all want to feel comfortable.
But having teachers or friends to be able to help and let you feel heard means everything. I look up to my bestie for being her beautiful self wanting to help and show love and compassion to all. That’s how we all should be. I wanted so long for her to read this comic because it was lovely. And I’m happy that she did. Love you!
