A new way to wash your locks

Hey babes, It’s been out there for a while and everyone and their grandma has heard of sulfate-free shampoo, But now the real question what is it and does it work for you? Sulfates are ingredients commonly found in soaps and shampoos. They are used to separate dirt and oils from your skin or scalp, which sounds great in theory, until you realize they even strip body and hair of the natural protective oils that exist for a good reason.

A couple of years ago I got Seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp and I thought my gorgeous hair days were over. Everything I tried was wrong and I was starting to feel embarrassed about how my hair looked and if everyone was noticing that something was wrong (which no one was and it was only me). I went to the dermatologist and the Dr. said I need a sulfate free shampoo and every since then I have been on the look for something that’s gonna make me shine again.

Maui Moisture, it is sulfate free and has pure aloe juice as one of the ingredients! It’s safe for curly hair to colored. With Sulfate-free shampoos, you don’t need as much product and more water. Make sure your hair is fully wet before applying and it won’t get suds like normal shampoo so you have to really work it to make sure it gets every bit of your lovely hair.

This is the Heal and Hydrate + Shea Butter collection. I have been using this collection for a while and I’m loving it! My hair feels light again and looks beautiful. I bought my shampoo and conditioner at Target and it is sold at all drugstores. My next purchase in the line will be the hair mask. I can’t wait to try more of there products.

Invest in your hair, it is the crown you never take off.

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried this shampoo or have a great sulfate-free shampoo for me to try.
